This is one of my favorite bars in Phoenix. Dim lighting, great music, very relaxed atmosphere. The drinks are amazing. Dress code, so beware of shorts, open toe shoes, etc.

I shortened the description. Original one:
Chris-Town Mall opened in 1961 as one of the country's first air-conditioned indoor malls. It started out with JCPenney, Korrick's, and Montgomery Ward to the west. There was also a Kresge. During the 1970s, competition heated up and Chris-Town expanded. The Broadway replaced and expanded the Korrick's footprint, JCPenney expanded, and Bullock's was added off in a side wing off Montgomery Ward.
In the 1980s, change happened when Bullock's became Dillard's. But death came for the mall. In 1995, The Broadway was closed instead of converting to Macy's. Then in 2000 Montgomery Ward went bankrupt. However, quick-thinking management had saved the mall. Not long after the closure of The Broadway, Wal-Mart built on the site of the failed anchor. In 2002, JCPenney closed, the UA movie theater was torn down and rebuilt as Harkins Cinema, Wal-Mart expanded to a Supercenter, and PetSmart and Ross Dress for Less split the old Montgomery Ward spot (but only PetSmart opened to the mall). JCPenney was soon replaced by Costco.
The mall was renamed Phoenix Spectrum Mall. However, vacancies still threatened the mall and Dillard's closed in 2004. This resulted in the mall being sold again. The new owners renamed the mall Christown Spectrum Mall and tore down much of the western wing of the old mall in spring 2006. This included the enclosed mall between PetSmart and the rest of the wing and also Dillard's and the adjoining wing.
The newly rebuilt area featured an all-new JCPenney between PetSmart and the mall, and a SuperTarget and other stores replacing Dillard's.
Around 2000 or so, it became Phoenix Spectrum Mall for about 7 years before becoming Christown Spectrum Mall.
Anchors today include Costco, JCPenney, and Wal-Mart Supercenter. It also has SuperTarget, Ross Dress for Less, and PetSmart. These do not have interior access.
